- Enhance remote work capabilities to allow appraisers to complete their assessments live in the field, saving time and money.
- Improve and/or replace the current online personal property filing tool, that was implemented behind schedule and released in 2020. This is a priority after hearing feedback from citizens.
- Implement a proven and advanced CAMA (Computer Aided Mass Appraisal System) and GIS (Geographic Information System) technology to maximize efficiency.
- Update the Assessor’s Office website to be more intelligible, informative, and resourceful for the citizens.

Brent Johnson is the only outside candidate running for Assessor. He will bring a completely new perspective to the Assessor’s Office, not being influenced by the past. This will allow him to provide the citizens of Greene County with needed change in the Assessor’s Office. He will provide workshops so citizens can understand their rights regarding assessments and about the appeals process. He will equip staff with tools, technologies, and training to effectively perform their duties, while updating the Assessor’s Office processes, improving the overall customer experience.

PROVEN EXPERIENCE
Mr. Johnson has worked for over 20 years, both in the public and private sectors. Mr. Johnson is a Certified Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP). As a consultant specializing in local government, he has worked to maximize efficiency, improve cost savings, and to improve technology. Most recently, as the Geospatial, Demographic, and Analytics Coordinator for O’Reilly Auto Parts in their Real Estate Department he oversaw the Geospatial, Demographic, and Analytics group, using his expertise to plan new store locations, generate analytical models for sales projections and extensive data analysis. This experience with local, state, and federal offices to improve efficiency, save taxpayer money and streamline workflows is unparalleled by the other Candidates.

Mr. Johnson is the only candidate native to Greene County. His family have been hard working Greene County residents for over 130 years. He will provide honest and fair assessments for the citizens and businesses of Greene County, working as your advocate by protecting your rights and tax dollars. He will provide accurate, consistent assessments while maximizing the efficiency and technology in the Assessor’s Office. He is committed to increased access for citizens through his open-door policy and customer service. Over the past 10 years, he has been committed to the youth of Greene County as a Scoutmaster and Cubmaster in the Boy Scouts of America, earning some of the highest awards for leadership. He is Vice Chairman of the local scouting district, former New Covenant Academy School Board Member, as well as many other local organizations.

The Only Native Greene County Candidate
Meet Brent Johnson
Brent Johnson is the only native Greene County candidate. For over 130 years his family members have been hard working residents of Greene County. He graduated from Glendale High School and Southwest Missouri State University (now MSU) where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Geospatial Sciences. After graduating from MSU he left the area for eight years but came back to Greene County where he and his family now reside.
Mr. Johnson is dedicated to the community and citizens of Greene County. He is very involved with the youth of our community as a volunteer in the Boy Scouts of America. He has been awarded for making substantial impacts to youth including the Golden Sun Award, one of the highest awards locally in scouting, District Award of Merit, the first recipient of the District Silver Compass, Unit Award of Merit, and many others.
Brent is dedicated to his family, he and his wife Chandria “Lynn” have been married for 20 years and have four wonderful children, three sons Caedman, Keagan and Cilliain and daughter Caoilinn. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, camping, and helping others.
